Nigerian oil tycoon Folorunso Alakija is another wealthy Black woman, with a net worth estimated at over $1 billion. Alakija made her fortune in oil exploration and fashion, owning a stake in a lucrative oil block off the coast of Nigeria. She is also a prominent philanthropist, supporting causes related to women’s empowerment and education in Nigeria.

South African mining magnate Bridgette Radebe is also among the wealthiest Black women in the world, with a net worth of over $1 billion. Radebe made her fortune through mining and construction businesses, becoming one of the most successful female entrepreneurs in South Africa. She is known for her advocacy for women’s rights and economic empowerment in Africa.

These wealthy Black women have not only shattered stereotypes and broken barriers in their respective industries but have also used their fortunes to make a positive impact on society.
