Breaking the Glass Ceiling: Sen. Laphonza Butler’s Historic Senate Victory


On a historic night in November, Sen. Laphonza Butler shattered the glass ceiling in the world of politics by becoming the first Black woman to be elected to the U.S. Senate from the state of California.
