On February 29, 2024, entrepreneur, dealmaker and philanthropist Robert F. Smith spoke at Columbia Business School’s 7th Annual Women’s Business Leadership in Technology Conference: Shaping the Future of Tech and Business. Smith moderated a panel with women executives from Vista Equity Partners (Vista) portfolio companies and leaders from within Vista: Shannon Bracken, Amy Kadomatsu and Cory Munchbach. The panel primarily focused on generative artificial intelligence (#AI) and how it will impact the future of #business and #innovation. They also discussed how businesses can get ahead of the curve by creating diverse workforces and by using #technology and AI to improve processes.
Smith is a 1994 alumnus of Columbia Business School, where he received an MBA. He and Vista have been longtime partners of Columbia Business School, accelerating the presence of women in tech by advocating for a diverse and inclusive future for the industry.
